I let out a heavy sigh as I pulled my rolling luggage bag behind me. The loud sound of airplanes landing and taking off roared in my ears, making me flinch. Mama and Papa had their own bags to carry, but they were a few steps ahead of me and holding hands. Of course, being in America ((A/N: NOT HATING ON AMERICA HERE. I live there, yo. )) they got a few strange glances and glares from people coming and going out of the airport.

By the way. You know that feeling of butterflies in your stomach when you're nervous about something?

....

Yeah.

I have the feeling of fucking wasps swarming around and stinging the hell out of my stomach. Also, I could tell that I looked like a mess to anyone that passes by me. My (h/l), (h/c) hair was tangled and wispy around my face. A few remaining tear streaks were still visible on my face from crying earlier in the car. Finally, my (e/c) eyes were drooping from exhaustion. God, this really sucks.

Why? Damn it, why does this have to happen to me? I'm a good kid! I don't deserve th--..

"_____!"

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my name being shouted quite loudly in my ear. I didn't know what was going on, so I answered to my name in the most intelligent way I could manage.

"...Huh?"

"Bloody hell, ____! I've been calling your name for the past 3 minutes!"

"O-Oh!" A nervous laugh escaped my mouth and I rubbed the back of my head, only to ruffle up my hair even worse than it already was. "Sorry Mama. I was just...thinking."

He lets out a heavy sigh and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder as his other hand came up and ran though my (h/c) mess. "_____. I know you're upset about leaving your friends, and we would never do something like this out of spite, but we needed to move. Alright? I'm so sorry. But maybe you'll make some new friends while you're in Canada?" I heard him say his last sentence as a question. As if he wasn't even sure. Gee thanks mom. That makes me feel better.

"Arthur, mon amour. Just leave her be." Papa chimed in on the other side of me and he leaned down to kiss me on a tear-streaked cheek. "I'm sure our cute little _____ will make friends with no problem at all. No boys can resist that wittle face~!" He teased heartedly and placed his hands on my cheeks as he gently squished them together.

I puffed out my cheek in a pout and gave my dad a playful nudge on the shoulder to push him away. He laughed at my response and placed a hand on my head to smooth down some of my gravity defying strands of hair. As we showed our tickets to the stewardess at our plane's entryway, a smile crept its way onto my face the first time since I left my friends behind.

-------Oh hey there Mr.Timeskip!---------

"_____."

"Sweetheart?"

I let out a low groan of annoyance and let my head roll back against the back of taxi's backseat headrest. My eyes started to flutter open slowly and all that was in my direct line of sight was a blonde fur ball.

Oh wait. That's dad.

"It's time to get out of the car now, hon." Dad cooed gently and he smiled gently at me, leaning down to kiss my temple. He was standing outside of the car, a suitcase on the ground next to him, and patiently waited for me to climb out. Which took me quite a while since I hate being woken up. After I was standing next to my dad, mother came up behind us and ran a hand through my messy (h/c) hair.

"Come on now~. Don't want to keep the new house waiting, hm?"

I nodded lazily and dad grabbed the suitcase from the ground, reaching out to hold my hand as well. Mom had taken out the rest of our bags from the the back of the taxi and payed the driver, who drove off with a smile. The cold wind of the Canadian air whipped at my face harshly and it seemed to have woken me up from my dazed state of recently waking up. The three of us walked up to the front door of our new home - I hate calling it that already - and stepped inside. It wasn't...bad.  From what Mama and Papa told me, it has three bedrooms, guest room included, 2 bathrooms, an attic, a huge kitchen since Papa likes to cook a lot and Mama might blow something up so we need lots of space, and a cute little living room connecting to the kitchen.

"Well~? Do you like it? I thought it was pretty nice, non?"

I stared for a few more moments until I finally turned to Papa. "When is our other stuff getting here?"

"Oh bloody hell, can't you worry about something else?"

"No." I deadpanned and glanced over my shoulder towards the door. "My bed is included with that and that is an immediate worry if I can't get my sleep." Grabbing my bag from the pile of suitcases and whatnot left by the door, I opened it up and started to dig through it all until I finally found what I was looking for. My favorite pair of ice skates. I guess these'll finally come in handy.

"You're going out in this weather?" Mama piped up, sounding surprised.

"Oui. I don't want to be home until our things arrive, so I'll just wander around. You can call me, alright?" I smiled at my parents and kissed their cheek. "See you later~." Tying the shoelaces together so I won't have to carry the skates separately, I threw them over my shoulder and walked out the door. The sudden burst of cold air was like a slap to the face and I pulled my hood up to give my face a bit more protection from the wind.

God. I hope it isn't always like this.

I can't even remember how long I was walking or where I was going. Sure, I brought my ice skates with me, but that was only if I spotted a frozen lake or something so I /could/ skate. So far, no luck. That's why I decided to finally ask someone for directions to the nearest skating rink.

"Um, excuse me?" I tapped the shoulder of a blonde-haired man that kind of resembled Papa from behind.

"O-Oui?"

...I stand corrected. He looked /nothing/ like my father. His hair was nearly the same shade of color, but that was about it. My (e/c) eyes met deep, violet pools and they nearly took my breath away from the extreme uniqueness of them. The stranger was wearing a red, bubble jacket, black jeans, tan boots that were rimmed with thick fur to keep his feet warm, and a pair of earmuffs that had the Canadian flag printed on them. A stray curl portrayed off the top of his head and hung in front of his nose in the cutest way.

"...Hello?"

Whoa, what? I blinked a few times to see a hand being waved in front of my face. The boy had a gentle smile on his face and he giggled, fixing the small bag on his back.

"Are you...okay? You seemed to have spaced out, miss."

"O-Oh. Right. I'm sorry."

"Don't be. It's quite alright. B-But, um, is there something you need?"

"Oui~. I was going to ask if you--.."

"Who're you?" A squeaky voice piped up from nowhere and I nearly jumped out of my skin.

"W-Who said that!?"

"Kumonjiro! I told you to s-stay quiet in there!"

The bag on the strangers back started to move around and I took a step back. W-What if this guy is a kidnapper!? Oh god, I knew this place would be horrible! Just as I was about to turn around and run back to my "house", a polar bear cub stuck its head out of the bag and stared at me with beady, black eyes.

WHAT?

"Nevermind him. He's not...used to being around strangers." The person held out his gloved hand and smiled down at me.

"Bonjour. M-My name's Matthew."

My mind barely registered the now named Matthew before me and I kept watching the cute little bear. How the hell did he talk!? I'm not going crazy right!?

"Who're you?" The animal asked me once again.

Nope. I'm not crazy.

"I'm Kumajirou~."

"I thought your name was Kumikichi." The boy piped up, gazing over his shoulder with a confused look on his face.

"Hmm...no. I thought your's was Andy!"

Matthew chuckled nervously and turned took off his bag to pull the bear out. Kumajirou crawled out of the small looking bag and onto the snow covered concrete, shaking off any of the snowflakes that may have landed on his head. He stood up on his hind legs and waddled up to me, pawing gently at my legs so I don't get scratched my his claws.

"Who're you?"

"Fine, fine. My name is _____~."

"I like you."

A small smile graced my lips and I kneeled down his his height, patting him in the head. Kuma nuzzled into my hand and walked around me until I felt him trying to crawl on my back. Did he want a piggyback ride?

"Oh yeah! Matthew. I have a question~."

"Hm?"

"Do you know where the nearest ice rink is? I brought my skates with me, but I have no idea where one is."

Matthew seemed to have brightened up at the mention of an ice rink. He nodded his head, making his cute little curl bob up and down with his movements, and slung his backpack back on him. Kuma comfortably sat on my shoulders and rested his paws on the top of my head.

"Oui, I know where one is. That's where I was heading to right now actually."

"Really? Awesome! Thank you so much."

He nodded his head and spun on his heel, making a motion with his hand to let me know to follow him.

"Just follow me, _____."
